A good astrologer should not only have astrological knowledge, but a good understanding of the philosophy of life. A Vedic astrologer is expected to lead a spiritually conscious life and to meditate, do japa or perform pujas daily. Only when the astrologer lives such a life will the Grace of God flow through him, revealing the subtle insights of intuitive wisdom which this science requires.

According to Vedic astrology, the horoscope of each individuals can be calculated in two ways one is NIRAYANA system other is SAYANA system. Niryana depends on Moon Sayana depends on Motion of Sun. The Mahrshis like Jaimini,Prasara,Varhamihira,Kalidasa written many authorised books. We can Predict the horoscope of individual by drawing rasi,amsa,hora,drekkana,bhava chakras. The timing of event depends on the Mahadasas and Antardasas.The present position of the planets is called GOCHARAM. While predicting the Horoscope the astrologer has to calulate the horoscope by taking date of birth,time of birth and place of birth and then he has to mix the Original chart with Gocharam then only astrologer can predict accurately.
